Bias
Post-purchase
rationalization
Remember that time you
bought something that totally unnecessary, faulty, or lovely expense, and then
you rationalized the purchase to such an extent that you convinced yourself it
was a great idea all along? Yeah, that’s post-purchase rationalization in
action-a kind of built-in mechanism that makes us feel better after we make crappy
decisions, especially at the cash register. Also known as Buyer’s Stockholm Syndrome,
it’s a way of subconsciously justifying our purchases- especially expensive
ones. Social psychologists say it stems from the principle of commitment, our
psychological desire to stay consistent and a void a state of cognitive
dissonance.
In my point of view
which accords to text above is people try to erase their guilty or hesitant decisions
by creating reasons to support and tend not to look back if they made mistakes.
I would love to say that this bias is totally me or many all shopaholics. It happens
to me when I see things that I have never seen before and in a reasonable
price, I always pop up with imagination for them, even it is completely not
necessary for now but I will definitely imagine and think for future; it might
useful one day or not, I can collect them.
Moreover, when I see “sale”
sign on the price tag, I will automatically be like the first example because I
used to pass by one backpack which I thought, I did not need this, due to I was
currently in university who wanted to use backpack to university, just a high
school students (That what I thought). So, I walked through it with no doubt.
Now, when I travel and need to pack things but does not have to use luggage, the
backpack in the past that never faded away from my mind; backpack is not always
the bag for high school students and carry books to school, it can be anything
else. Until now, I have never forgot that decision I made, it is kind of regret.
Therefore, I will think over and over again when I am going to buy things and
ask for comments from people around me, if i should not buy, good!then i can save money.
This is very interesting article, people can not say 'i do not have bias' but it is 100% wrong, it depends on how much you are. Anyway, I can say this bias
mostly occur in shopaholics (Not me) or among girls, they usually set up reasons
that perfect enough to get what they want but might not useful. in order to
avoid cognitive dissonance.

Algeria wedding traditions
Algeria is the biggest country in Africa continent, there are many beaches and tourism attractions. Algerian family life have survived the century as well as the traditional wedding ceremony.
Of course, to ensure the
wedding ceremony will ended up the best. so, it takes a year to prepare.
The bride to be might
always nervous with the boy's family visiting and ask for her hand in marriage
in front of her and his female relatives. Her future mother in law offered
bride gifts (Ring, gold, jewellery and traditional costume). Bride's side
respond by serving guest dessert, milk and tea are also served and they are
symbols of purity and good luck. Food play an important part in wedding
process.
In traditional wedding, Groom
has to give a dowry to the bride, provide a house for couple to leave, the more
gifts were given, the more happier of both family. Then the bride and her
family have to furnish the house, lots of money has spend on this step because
they have to select the best colorful fabric and furniture.
Those steps above might
take a week or even a month. After the agreement from both side. The girls will
have a henna party, in the party, mother in law put the new mixed henna on
bride's palm and wrap around with white clothes. After the traditional costume
(embroiled with gold and silver thread) in the day, the couple are able to change to the western wedding dress for another celebration at night. Groom will also have henna party , his mother also made a new fresh henna same as she did with her daughter in law. Another party for the groom is riding horse and shoot bully in the sky.

In another wedding ceremony, guests are invited to join meal which
groom hosts. Before the bride leave her parents’ house, she has to walk over an
egg for the bright future and throw sugar behind to sweeten the future (It is
regional traditions). After then on they way to groom’s house, a couple will
take a care parade and stop at locations that they interested in for taking wedding
photo.
For another wedding ceremony, they do the same car parade from bride’s
parents’ house, after that when she reaches groom’s house, the female relative from
groom’s side are dancing and all of them wear Chedda and Raftan, she’s welcomes
by another dessert and milk before getting into house, then her mother in law
gives her a key, means every door is already opened for her. She enters a
house, surrounded by female relatives. Her mother in law draws a red and white
spot on her cheeks and lip (Red represents shyness, white represents she will
blossom like a flower), Then the bride changes into traditional costume (The
costume is depend on wealth and religion) After the ceremony, there will be
food. The wedding celebrated until night.

The wedding traditions are practiced continuously until nowadays.
The traditional-culture of each country has their own unique and original storys behind. It is something that has been inherited a long time ago and interesting! people do adapt into a fashionable way. It makes traditional-culture never faded away.
Chedda and the traditional costume amaze me, i am very interested in these outfits, it's very expensive but worth waering, it is very beautiful and gorgeous.
This makes me realized every traditions as well as wedding ceremony, people do thoroughly select bride's outfits elaborately because bride need to be the most attractive in her special day.

People can not predict the weather's mood
The sunlight on Sunday morning shined through my window, i felt the anger from the sun since 7AM!! even the curtain also had to show up white flag.
That's not my window.. just the one from google haha
So! i forced myself to get up from my softy bed and said good bye ~
The burning sunlight seems to reduce stronger itself in late afternoon and it was cloudy around 4PM (Yeahh good) rain came, i thought it would bring cool in following hours
I usually go for a walk around 5PM with my girl friends, a bit worried if it is not stop raining, then we have to cancel our exercise plan and i was so sad with that *Wink
5 minutes later, the rain immediately stopped, there were just a few drops of water on cement floor and i was so fail, it did not bring cool but muggy instead!
Anyway! i went for a walk at Chao Anuvong Park as usual.
According to the vacuity above haha. However, it happens because of global warming, we could not blame the weather, instead human activities.
Let's grow green, start from our small community!
